Interim manager Lee Carsley will announce his first England senior squad on Thursday, ahead of Nations League matches away to the Republic of Ireland and at home against Finland in early September.
Having stepped up from the under 21's to replace Gareth Southgate, Carsley has shuffled the England backroom team with Ashley Cole and Joleon Lescott set to be alongside him in the dugout.
All eyes now will be on whether he opts for a similar shake-up of the senior squad, given that many of England's Euro 2024 mainstays have only slowly been eased back into club football over the past couple of weeks.
Coupled with his knowledge of the talent at U21 level and the low-key nature of the autumn fixtures that await, England having been relegated from the top-tier of the Nations League in 2022, and it may be that the squad Carsley names has a different look to it.
Captain Harry Kane will surely be desperate to be involved, however, given that fitness issues prevented him making as big an impact on the Euros as he would have liked and because playing in both of September's matches will see him join the hallowed club of those to have won a century of England caps.
