Eight players have withdrawn from the England squad for this week's Nations League fixtures with Greece and Republic of Ireland leaving Lee Carsley to send for reinforcements ahead of his final two matches in charge of the senior team.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Levi Colwill, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Cole Palmer, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are all unavailable following this weekend's Premier League fixtures and will not travel to Athens for the crunch showdown at the head of the group.
Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Jarrad Branthwaite, Tino Livramento and James Trafford have been called up in their place as England look to turn the table on their Greek hosts following last month's historic Wembley win for the visitors.
A win for the Three Lions will set them up for the final group game, Sunday's clash with an Ireland side also hit by squad withdrawals with Seamus Coleman among the players to have pulled out of Heimir Hallgrimsson's original party.
