England made it two wins from two, both in the Nations League and under Lee Carsley's stewardship, with victory against Finland on Tuesday evening.
An expectant Wembley crowd, hoping to see captain Harry Kane mark his 100th cap with a goal, had a frustrating first-half as the Finns defended well and squandered a brace of good opportunities on the counter-attack.
Kane did have the ball in the net but was denied by an offside flag but otherwise there was little in the way of clear-cut chances in the opening 45 minutes.
In contrast to Saturday's win in Dublin, however, it was in the second-half that England stepped things up and the moment the game was set up for duly arrived, Trent Alexander-Arnold playing in Kane for the Bayern Munich man to power home a shot past the impressive Hradecky in the visitors' goal.
Debutant Noni Madueke then helped Kane to a second before Carsley substituted his skipper to allow for an ovation from the Wembley crowd.
Another step towards a return to Group A of the Nations League and towards a permanent role for Carsley, England return to action in October with a home game against Greece, who also have two wins from two, and the return fixture with the Finns.
