England early bird offer for Latvia clash

Last updated : 18 January 2025 By Three Lions

England begin their qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup in March with two home matches at Wembley in the space of four days, against Albania on Friday 21 and Latvia the following Monday.

Given the proximity of the two games, the relative lack of appeal of the opposition and the scheduling of the Latvia game on a Monday evening, the FA have sensibly decided to reduce prices for the second fixture.

An early-bird offer means ticket prices are £40 and £30 (with a £10 concession discount available) and £20/£10 for adults and under 16's in the family enclosure.

At present there is no end date to the offer with general sale tickets available from 12pm on Monday 28 January.

England's meeting with Latvia will be the first ever footballing meeting of the two nations.

Little will be expected of a side currently 140th in the world rankings and facing a Nations League play-off with Gibraltar after a disappointing run of results in the autumn, Latvia's solitary win coming at home to the Faroe Islands.

Italian Paolo Nicolato, formerly in charge of his country's Under-21 side, is the current coach of the Latvian side, following in the footsteps of ex-Yeovil and Bristol City boss Gary Johnson and Southampton legend Marians Pahars.
