New England manager Thomas Tuchel may not be taking over until the beginning of January but Friday 13th December is the first key date of the German's reign.
That is when the European qualifying draw takes place for the 2026 World Cup, the tournament that Tuchel has been hired to win for England.
With the expanded finals now having 48 teams, 16 will qualify from Europe.
The Zurich draw will see 12 groups of either four or five teams pulled out of the hat, the winners of those groups automatically making it to the USA, Canada and Mexico for the 2026 jamboree.
The 12 runners-up will battle it out for the remaining four places through a play-off series that will also include the four best-ranked group winners from the current Nations League that do not come first or second in their qualifying group.
Qualifying begins in March next year although England may yet be involved in a Nations League promotion play-off if they do not top their group ahead of Greece.
