England supporters may have only a low-key Nations League campaign to look forward to this autumn, but the upcoming home game against Finland on Tuesday 10th September may yet prove memorable in the history of the national team.
Not only could it mark the Wembley debut of the new England manager but, assuming he is fit and played a part the previous Saturday against the Republic of Ireland, Harry Kane is set to win his 100th cap for his country.
This summer's Euros did not go to plan for England's record goalscorer, Kane's struggle to recover from a pre-tournament injury leading to his place in the starting XI being questioned for the first time since he broke onto the international scene with a goal on his debut against Lithuania in March 2015.
Despite that, and his close association with Gareth Southgate's reign, few would doubt the striker's hunger to break through the 100 cap mark and set many more milestones in the years to come.
Kane's Bayern Munich are set to face his former club Tottenham Hotspur twice in the next week as the build-up continues to the new season.
