Patrick Bamford will make his senior international debut against Andorra on Sunday, the Leeds United striker handed his bow by Gareth Southgate as one of 11 changes from the side that eased past Hungary on Thursday evening.
With three World Cup qualifiers in eight days and a potentially tough trip to Poland to come, the visit of minnows Andorra to Wembley has allowed Southgate to rotate his squad and give an opportunity not only to Bamford but also to the likes of Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
There is a competitive England debut for West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and another cap for Wolves centre-half Conor Coady, something of a reward for his positive attitude around the camp during Euro 2020 despite not playing in any of the games.
Speaking ahead of the game, Coady told the press: "To get the opportunity at any moment, to represent the country, to play for England and put on an England shirt is a special moment for myself."
