Visiting supporters will not be allowed at September's World Cup qualifiers meaning the wait goes on for England fans to be able once again to follow their team away from home.
The Football Association had sought to gauge the level of interest in supporters wanting to travel to the games in Hungary and Poland but will not now receive an allocation for the fixtures following a ruling from FIFA and UEFA that applies across the board for next month's matches.
Attention now turns to Andorra in October and San Marino in November as potential trips to watch Gareth Southgate's side in action.
England head into the resumption of World Cup qualifying at the head of Group I following three wins out of three in March. As well as the games in Hungary and Poland they have a home clash with Andorra at Wembley.
Tickets for that game are on sale from the FA ticketing site.
