Wembley start confirmed for Tuchel

The Football Association have confirmed ticket details for England's first games under Thomas Tuchel, the World Cup qualifiers against Albania on 21 March and Latvia three days later.

Last week's draw handed Tuchel a favourable route through to the 2026 tournament, to be held in Mexico, Canada and the USA, and England's schedule should see them off to a flier with the home double-header followed in 2024/25 by just an away date with Andorra in the potentially tricky, post-domestic season, slot.

Taking the UEFA Nations League as the most recent form guide, Albania won two of their six matches in League B while Latvia defeated only the Faroe Islands in League C and face a relegation battle against Gibraltar next year.

England put five past Albania at Wembley in November 2021, in qualifying for the Qatar World Cup but have never before played Latvia at senior level.
